About This Project
This is a 1 Day Basic Fire Fighting Course in which you will go through 5 Chapters of work.

Understand, explain practice fire prevention.

Operate basic fire fighting equipment.

Perform basic fire fighting procedures.
The learners can understand and explain:
- The triangle of combustion (heat, oxygen and fuel).
- The formulation of fire extinguishers (range: water, foam, co2).
- Different types of fire fighting equipment.

UNIT STANDARD CCFO IDENTIFYING
Identify and solve problems through identifying possible fire hazards and taking appropriate actions to prevent and/or contain fires.
UNIT STANDARD CCFO ORGANIZING
Organize and manage oneself and one’s activities responsibly and effectively in emergency situation to prevent and/or contain a fire.
UNIT STANDARD CCFO COLLECTING
Collect, analyze, evaluate information in order to determine:
- The need for external assistance to prevent spread of fire.
- Causes of fire.
- Fire hazards.
UNIT STANDARDS CCFO COMMUNICATING
Communicate information pertaining to fire prevention and fire containment effectively to relevant internal personnel.
UNIT STANDARD CCO SCIENCE
Use science effectively and critically showing responsibility towards the environment and the safety of others, through using the correct substance to fight different classes of fire.
